Frameless London

Frameless London

Frameless, London redefines art in the most unimaginable way. It exceeded all expectations and was a truly mind blowing experience. Gone are the days of dragging bored kids around an art gallery. Instead kids can be heard pleading with parents to stay a bit longer at this immersive, multi dimensional experience. It’s an unforgettable experience for the whole family.

People can be seen appreciating the art in their own unique ways ways. Some people sat in a trance like state, others stood back, gazing up in awe. Others were lying down, caught up in the moment. Whilst children could be seen dancing through the digital art, to the sound of the music, it was clear every single person visiting was truly mesmerised.

Frameless is like stepping into what one would imagine Vincent’s Van Gogh’s dreams would have looked like. With swirls of paint dancing around the walls, you almost find yourself feeling dizzy at times. Look up, look down, and to the side and you are completely surrounded by dazzling displays.

Frameless is a multi-sensory experience where traditional art has been brought to life. The birds are flying off of the paintings, there’s time in motion with Salvador Dali’s most famous piece swiftly, drifting under your feet. Monet’s finest work is re created in digital pixels, and in a blink of an eye it’s gone. There are moments where it really does feel a bit surreal.

With each brush stroke, the art evokes a different emotion.

Some of the art is calming, and the music soothing.

Some of the art is powerful, dramatic and thought provoking.

Some of the art is playful and fanciful.

There is a journey through 4 galleries which run in a loop. Whilst each room lasts from around 15-25 minutes. Somehow you loose all concept of time, and the time just flies by. We ended up spending about 2 hours at Frameless after a sit down in the lovely cafe. There was room full of art to sit in, and reflect on the afternoon where we chatted about impressionism, cubism, and abstract art.

Whilst four year olds do tend to be a bit dramatic, they are renowned for their brutal honesty. Our little man stood back, totally inspired. He whispered, “Mummy this is the happiest I have been in my whole life. I want to stay here forever.” We did finally manage to drag him out, but it really was an unforgettable experience. It’s no wonder he hasn’t stopped talking about it since.

Frameless redefines art in the most unimaginable way. We all left feeling truly enriched by the art. Frameless is wonderful, and we highly recommend visiting and really hope we can visit again. It’s really one not to be missed when in London.
