Imagine if making a cake, could save a life? Well now it can! Usually raising money for charity involves vigorous training, being physically fit, getting hot and sweaty and running a marathon or climbing a mountain. That’s all well and good if you are that way inclined. But we’re not. Bowel Cancer UK have had a brilliant idea for all those having Great British Bake Off withdrawal symptoms. April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month and throughout April, it’s time to get baking for the “Be a Star, Bake a Cake campaign.”
Organise a cake sale at home or a bake off at work, invite your friends, family and colleagues to sample the delicious treats and make a donation. Get baking this April to support vital research and lifesaving work to prevent bowel cancer. This is a great excuse for foodies to eat cake and do a good deed. Concierge Angel will be baking and sharing recipes by celebrity chefs throughout April. With recipes from Michel Roux Jr, The Hairy Bikers,Tom Kitchen and many more there’s sure to be something you will want to get baking. Tom Aiken’s chocolate cake is sure to be a treat.
